2012 Skwalla season has been a rocky road to date. With the water levels bouncing around the fishing has been sporatic at best. One day you might get fifty next five on top. Nymphing has been steady to off set the top water action. If you are looking to get your flyfishing fix in on the Bitterroot river you are more likely down to two weeks to get it in before high water. After the Bitterroot blows out there is still plenty fishing to do in western Montana. The Missouri, Jefferson, Beaverhead, Bighole and Ruby rivers will be shaping up right at the beginning at May. So there will be plenty of fishing to do in are area in the next month.
